Rural Solar Electrification Project
Site terracing, construction, installation, and pole distribution for rural solar electrification with HUAWEI.
About the project
Delivered for HUAWEI under the Ministry of Water and Energy, this rural electrification programme brought solar power to communities across Cameroon. Evergreen's scope was end-to-end: site terracing and civil construction to prepare each location, solar installation, and the distribution and erection of poles to carry power into the communities. It is the kind of work that sits squarely in our mission — sustainable energy infrastructure that uplifts the communities it reaches.
Challenge, solution, outcome
Challenge
Rural electrification means working across dispersed sites with limited existing infrastructure — every location needs ground preparation before any solar equipment can be installed.
Solution
We self-performed the full chain — terracing and civil works, then solar installation, then pole distribution — so each site moved from raw ground to live power under one coordinated team.
Outcome
Communities across the programme connected to clean solar power, delivered for HUAWEI and the Ministry of Water and Energy.
