The work

Challenge, solution, outcome

Challenge

Modernising a live municipal grid means upgrading infrastructure thousands of residents depend on daily — without prolonged outages or safety incidents.

Solution

We phased the cutover street-by-street, pre-staged materials through our supply hub, and ran AMI installation in parallel crews so customers moved onto smart meters with minimal disruption.

Outcome

Phase 1 went live bringing 9,200 customers onto smart meters with real-time telemetry; subsequent phases are on programme.
